Business Continuity Specialist

About the role

The Business Continuity Specialist ensures regional operations remain stable and perform at full capacity. This role combines proactive monitoring with swift incident resolution, acting as the operational expert for payment ecosystems across emerging markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end incident handling for assigned markets, triaging Jira tickets and coordinating with CS, BA and other internal teams.
• Coordinate downtimes with the Ops Monitoring team, ensuring timely escalation, communication and service restoration.
• Manage PIBADIFF and RFBADIFF workflows, investigate transactional discrepancies and drive closure.
• Execute “no capture/cancel left behind” reviews, generate Jira tickets and follow up to resolution.
• Investigate settlement differences, provide auditable explanations to Business Assurance.
• Run urgent payment‑method turn‑off processes, raise alerts in Slack and coordinate stakeholders.
• Engage directly with processors, acquirers, APMs, card schemes and issuers to remove technical or business blockers.
• Support merchant operational enablement during go‑lives, ensuring credential readiness and testing support.
• Execute and follow up on credential requests via Jira, supplying required information.
• Perform testing (APM, onboarding card, issue card) to validate flows and readiness.
• Own error‑code mapping updates and collaborate with Product to improve triage.
• Maintain up‑to‑date operational documentation and focal points.

Required profile

• Strong experience in incident management and business continuity within payment or fintech environments.
• Deep knowledge of regional market nuances and payment processing workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate across internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple incidents and drive swift resolutions.
