About the role
Visa is seeking a Business Development Director for Uganda to lead a portfolio of financial institutions and fintech clients. Based in Kampala, you will drive revenue growth, deepen executive relationships, and champion innovative payment solutions across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse market, regional and global trends to predict business impact and shape strategic plans.
- Develop ambitious, holistic strategies for assigned clients, aligning Visa priorities with client objectives and competitor activity.
- Oversee operational plans, defining objectives, tactics, actions and key results for each client.
- Lead Visa’s innovation agenda, promoting emerging capabilities such as mobile payments, Visa Direct and Visa Pay.
- Manage core profit‑and‑loss activities, including marketing plans and product launches, with minimal supervision.
- Establish and nurture deep, trust‑based relationships with financial institutions, merchants and fintech partners.
- Understand client business priorities, anticipate end‑user needs and propose tailored Visa solutions.
Required profile
- Proven track record in business development and revenue generation within the payments, financial services or fintech sectors.
- Experience managing a portfolio of financial institution and fintech clients.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and drive cross‑functional initiatives.
