Business Officer

About the role

Premier Bank is seeking a proactive Business Officer to develop and manage profitable corporate relationships in the Malindi/Westlands region. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior client management, delivering financing solutions that align with the bank’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop long‑term, cost‑effective asset business with reputable companies to maximise bank profitability.
• Provide consultancy to senior client management on financing strategies and structures.
• Maintain regular contact with assigned corporate customers, ensuring expectations are met and bank services are well understood.
• Identify and exploit cross‑selling opportunities, embedding bank products into client needs.
• Handle day‑to‑day corporate transactions in liaison with branch managers while managing exposure risk.
• Ensure compliance with KYC and AML requirements for all client interactions.
• Prepare and negotiate finance or lease agreements according to bank guidelines.
• Generate periodic performance reports on marketing activities and portfolio development.
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives that support the bank’s broader objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
• Professional banking operations training (e.g., AKIB, ACIB) or equivalent.
• Minimum of one month of relevant experience in corporate banking or business development.
