Casting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Casting Manager to lead our casting teams across Central Casting offices. In this role you will own the full scope of people leadership, from recruitment and retention to day‑to‑day performance, while ensuring our teams deliver top‑quality casting services for television, film, and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a team of casting employees, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with senior managers to allocate television shows and feature films to Casting Directors, balancing workload, show complexity, and client preferences.
• Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
• Run daily and weekly huddles to keep teams informed on priorities and operational updates.
• Coach employees, monitor morale, conduct engagement surveys, and address concerns.
• Participate in hiring decisions, onboarding, mentoring, discipline, and performance management.
• Authorize timecards, monitor overtime, absenteeism, and vacation time.
• Use performance data to identify trends, flag issues, and guide coaching conversations.
• Adopt a cross‑regional mindset, treating all casting staff as shared resources and supporting flexible staffing across locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
• Strong people‑management skills, including recruitment, development, and performance oversight.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on inclusive leadership.
• Ability to make independent operational decisions and own hiring outcomes.
• Comfort with cross‑regional coordination and flexible staffing models.
