Content Production Assistant – Fixed Term

About the role

The Content Production Assistant / Local Fixer will support an international photographer creating a photography and documentary series on Tatu Coffee. The role covers pre‑production research, location scouting, interview coordination, consent management, production logistics and on‑the‑ground support throughout the four‑month assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Research Tatu Coffee, Tatu City and the local community to brief the photographer.
• Identify and scout locations across the estates, including processing facilities, farms, workers and community areas.
• Develop shoot lists and story outlines with the photographer and local partners.
• Assist with translation in English, Kiswahili, Kikuyu and other local languages as needed.
• Manage consent and release forms for interviewees and maintain organized records.
• Handle equipment, prepare gear checklists and coordinate daily production logistics.
• Prepare production notes, organise call sheets and keep the project on schedule.
• Act as the local liaison between the photographer and the community, troubleshooting operational challenges.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a production assistant, fixer, researcher or coordinator on photography, film or documentary projects.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional, resourceful and adaptable, able to build trust with interviewees and stakeholders.
• Discreet when handling sensitive information.
