Casual Mason – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for skilled and reliable Casual Masons to support ongoing construction activities. The successful candidates will undertake masonry and general building works while maintaining the required quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out masonry and general construction works as instructed by the Site Supervisor.
• Construct walls, partitions, foundations, columns, kerbs, drainage structures, and other masonry works.
• Mix and prepare cement, mortar, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Lay blocks, bricks, stones, and other masonry materials accurately.
• Perform plastering, rendering, screeding, and related finishing works.
• Read and work from basic construction drawings and measurements where required.
• Ensure walls and other structures are properly aligned, levelled, and finished.
• Measure and estimate materials required for assigned tasks.
• Carry out repairs, modifications, and maintenance of masonry structures.
• Maintain construction tools and equipment in good condition and follow all site safety procedures.

Required profile

• Practical experience in masonry and general construction work.
• Ability to perform block work, brickwork, plastering, screeding, and other basic masonry tasks.
• Ability to take measurements and follow basic construction instructions.
• Previous construction or building‑site experience is preferred.
• Physically fit, reliable, hardworking, disciplined and safety‑conscious.
