College Operations Officer

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic College Operations Officer to oversee daily operations at our Nairobi campus. The role ensures smooth service delivery across academic, administrative and support functions, driving efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the college, coordinating academic, finance, admissions, examinations, ICT, marketing and student affairs.
• Develop, implement and monitor operational policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with TVETA, TVET CDACC, Ministry of Education and other regulatory bodies.
• Prepare operational performance reports for senior management.
• Lead institutional planning, resource allocation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Organise college events, examinations, graduations and official functions.
• Supervise departmental heads and support staff to achieve institutional objectives.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Education Management, Public Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, administration or institutional management, preferably within a TVET or higher‑education setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, planning and problem‑solving skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Experience with institutional management systems.
