Communications Senior Officer

About the role

The Communications Senior Officer leads strategic communication initiatives, creates high‑impact content, and cultivates relationships with key stakeholders and media partners. This role supports the organization’s strategic events and contributes to the development and execution of comprehensive communication plans.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and draft analytical reports, background papers, and briefing notes for high‑level fora and events.
• Prepare key messages, statements, presentations, and press materials aligned with organizational priorities.
• Oversee the production of editorial content, including videos, digital media, and knowledge products, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Develop and implement communication strategies, monitor context, and recommend adjustments.
• Track communication budgets and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, media partners, and agencies.
• Support proposal development, methodological improvements, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and writing skills for high‑level reports and briefing documents.
• Ability to manage multiple content deliverables and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and representation capabilities.
• Familiarity with UNOPS principles or similar international organization standards is advantageous.
