About the role
The Computing & Informatics Department at Shamberere Technical Training Institute is seeking a dedicated Trainer to deliver curriculum‑based instruction and support trainee development. This full‑time position involves preparing teaching materials, assessing learner performance, and contributing to research under senior supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver training in computing and informatics subjects according to the approved curriculum.
- Prepare teaching/learning materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
- Set, administer, and mark assessments.
- Conduct research activities under guidance of a senior trainer.
- Supervise trainee projects, practical work, and on‑the‑job attachments.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the department.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Pedagogy in Education and TVETA registration (mandatory).
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
- Registration with a professional body or association where applicable.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
