Country Director – Kenya

About the role

Yooshin Engineering Corporation is seeking a dynamic, well‑connected Country Director to lead its business operations and market expansion in Kenya while supporting regional activities across East Africa. The role requires strong local networking, proven business‑development expertise, and a successful track record in acquiring infrastructure projects and managing stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development and identify new project opportunities in Kenya and the wider East African region.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, clients, donors, consultants, and strategic partners.
• Oversee tendering activities, coordinate proposal preparation, and drive project acquisition efforts.
• Represent Yooshin at high‑level meetings, industry events, and negotiations.
• Monitor ongoing projects and coordinate closely with headquarters and regional teams.
• Support operational and business activities in other African regions when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure, engineering consulting, or project management.
• Demonstrated success in business development, tendering, and client/partner relationship management.
• Strong local market networking abilities and experience with donor‑funded projects (World Bank, AfDB, etc.) is a plus.
• Leadership experience in Africa is highly desirable.
• Fluent English required; Swahili is an advantage.
