Credit Control & Finance Systems Analyst

About the role

The Credit Control & Finance Systems Analyst will manage receivables and collections for a leading Kenyan FMCG beverage company while improving the speed and accuracy of financial data. This role sits at the intersection of credit control, data capture, and reporting automation, enabling the finance team to focus on analysis rather than manual number‑crunching.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up collections with sales teams, key accounts and clients to keep debt‑to‑sales ratio ≤ 25%.
• Assess creditworthiness of customers, recommend credit limits and maintain signed credit agreements.
• Handle disputed accounts, negotiate settlements and prepare documentation for legal action when needed.
• Perform complex reconciliations and support stop‑supply decisions with the Finance Manager.
• Capture receivables, collections and customer data accurately in Sage and supporting Excel workbooks.
• Maintain a clean, well‑structured customer and debtors database and automate regular reports.

Required profile

• Commercially curious with a strong eye for detail.
• Comfortable working across systems and acting as the finance team’s reference for data structure.
• Proactive communicator who can collaborate with sales, finance and external parties.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
