Custody Sales Manager

About the role

The Custody Sales Manager will lead the development and execution of Equity Bank Kenya’s custody sales strategy. This role focuses on growing assets under custody, expanding the client portfolio and delivering revenue targets across institutional and corporate segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a country‑wide custody sales strategy to increase assets under custody and revenue.
• Identify, originate and convert new custody business opportunities through networking, market intelligence and referrals.
• Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, deliver presentations and negotiate commercial terms with prospective clients.
• Manage strategic relationships with institutional investors, pension funds, fund managers, insurance companies and other capital‑market participants.
• Conduct regular client engagement meetings, business reviews and market updates to strengthen relationships.
• Collaborate with product, operations, treasury, corporate banking and other internal teams to deliver seamless custody solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments to enhance the bank’s custody value proposition.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline and CRM records, and produce regular sales and performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of experience in a relevant sales or business development role.

Required skills

• CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems proficiency.
