Customer Service Engineer

About the role

The Customer Service Engineer will support the Customer Value proposition by leading technical projects in the Food & Beverage sector, ensuring successful deployment of equipment and services at local and regional levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Food & Beverage technical projects for key customers locally and regionally.
• Collaborate with the local DSM to implement global and regional strategies.
• Deploy selected international projects and train sales teams on new innovations, products, and technical trends.
• Manage equipment and spare parts sourcing, storage, repair, and maintenance while controlling costs.
• Provide technical and budget advice, ensuring equipment availability within agreed timelines.
• Implement optimization initiatives to improve equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, monitor performance, generate and present plant performance reports.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise site technicians.
• Address client concerns promptly and carry out hygiene audits with action plans.
• Perform market analysis and competitor assessments, maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in a B2B environment.
• Fluency in French is mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with engineering software for designing and interpreting drawings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot, run diagnostic tests, and identify root causes of equipment issues.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, spare‑parts management, and cost optimisation.
• Effective time and organizational management to minimise downtime.
