Electrical Technician

About the role

A company based in Tatu City is looking for an Electrical Technician to support both a solar assembly plant and field operations. The role involves assembling and wiring solar components, testing products, conducting site visits, and installing solar systems for clients while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to assess client locations, evaluate roof structure, shading, electrical load and cabling paths, and prepare assessment reports.
• Install complete solar systems—including panels, mounting structures, wiring, inverters and batteries—test functionality and commission the system.
• Perform electrical testing with multimeters, clamp meters and diagnostic tools, document results and ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in both the plant and client installations, and support preventive maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain accurate documentation and adhere to OSHA, company policies and industry standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, renewable energy or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in solar installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics and engineering documents.
• Knowledge of solar system design, inverters and batteries is an advantage.
• EPRA licence (T1, T2, T3) is a strong advantage.
