Customer Supply Manager - East Africa

About the role

Diageo's Africa Partner Markets covers 40+ African countries and manages partnerships to manufacture and distribute its portfolio of beer, RTDs, local and international spirits and luxury spirits. This Customer Supply Manager role covers end-to-end supply in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia), spanning demand and supply planning, customer service and logistics, and aims to meet cluster NSV objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers end to end to secure strong feedback on service levels and run collaborative forecasting to meet forecast accuracy targets.
• Develop the necessary SOPs so stakeholders understand and deliver product requirements to Ethiopia, Djibouti and Central Africa.
• Keep order and shipment details accurate and on time to drive 90%+ OTIF and zero demurrage from Diageo services.
• Influence partner leadership teams to ensure effective ordering after triangulation and to meet inventory targets on end markets.
• Work with multiple supply sites to deliver the required volumes and ensure onboarding of Africa Partner Markets best practice and sustainable operations.
• Solve administrative process challenges and follow through to delivery of each order.
• Collaborate across East Africa to improve supply as a value-add function.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in international logistics and customer service.
• Expertise in import processes in East Africa.
• Fluent in English; culturally aware and able to adapt communication styles.
• Proven track record in change management, with a focus on people and process improvement.
• Experience of the S&OP/IBP cycle and in influencing stakeholders to deliver customer-focused results.
• Able to analyse detail at pace, lead presentations and deliver results.
