Data Analytics & Visualization Training Consultant (3-day workshop)

About the role

Humanity & Inclusion is seeking a consultant to deliver a three‑day, hands‑on training workshop on data analytics and visualization for its finance team in Kenya. The workshop will empower finance staff to turn raw ledger data into clear, actionable visual reports that support faster decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a 3‑day interactive training program covering data extraction, cleaning, analysis and visualization.
• Teach participants to use Excel and Python (pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, plotly) for financial data manipulation.
• Introduce a BI tool (Power BI or Tableau) to build interactive dashboards and visualizations.
• Guide trainees through variance, ratio and trend analysis, as well as basic forecasting techniques.
• Provide practical exercises on creating waterfall, bridge and trend charts for finance KPIs.
• Coach participants on presenting financial insights to executives and board members.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering data‑analytics or visualization training to finance professionals.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting concepts.
• Ability to communicate complex technical material in an engaging, practical manner.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Python programming, specifically pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, and plotly libraries.
• Proficiency with a BI platform such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Data cleaning, reconciliation and visualization techniques.
• Financial variance and trend analysis.
