Global Roster of Early Childhood Development Specialists

About the role

UNICEF is establishing a Global Roster of Early Childhood Development (ECD) Specialists to provide timely, high‑quality technical support to country offices and government partners. The roster covers three core areas of expertise—policy and legislation, programme and service delivery, and parent‑support interventions—under the organisation’s Strategic Plan 2026‑2029.

Key responsibilities

• Offer expert advice on ECD policies, legislation, and regulatory frameworks.
• Design, monitor, and strengthen ECD programmes and services, including childcare and early stimulation.
• Support parents and caregivers through evidence‑based guidance and capacity‑building activities.
• Collaborate with UNICEF’s Centers of Excellence and country teams to ensure rapid mobilisation of expertise.
• Contribute to the development of tools, guidelines, and best‑practice resources for early childhood development.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to children’s rights and early development.
• Professional experience in one or more of the three ECD focus areas.
• Ability to work remotely and deliver results across diverse cultural contexts.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and knowledge sharing.
