Data Infrastructure Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for a global software development leader. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to work with cross‑functional teams delivering data‑driven solutions that power business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines for large‑scale data ingestion.
• Implement and maintain data warehouses and data lakes supporting analytical and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibility, quality and integrity.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Document data architecture, processes and standards for compliance and team reference.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities with focus on scalability and performance.
• Experience working in a remote, full‑time environment.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow or Spark.
• Knowledge of data modelling and data‑warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) for data infrastructure.
