Demand Planning Lead – Logistics

About the role

Demand Planning Lead manages sales forecasting, optimises inventory levels and aligns supply‑chain strategy for M‑KOPA Solar. The role supports demand planning, inventory replenishment, purchase‑order coordination and supplier follow‑up to keep materials moving without disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Create, track and manage purchase orders for materials and components feeding production, projects and supply‑chain operations.
• Act as the primary point of contact with suppliers to resolve delayed shipments, quantity variances or quality concerns.
• Monitor stock levels continuously to prevent stock‑outs and to identify excess inventory that ties up working capital.
• Maintain accurate data in the integrated supply‑chain system, including pricing, quantities, item details and delivery schedules.
• Analyse sales trends, demand patterns and planning variables to inform forecasting and safety‑stock decisions.
• Report on stock availability across markets to support broader planning and dispatch processes.
• Ensure incoming materials meet company quality standards, approved specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Follow company procurement policies and approval procedures to avoid process gaps at scale.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of demand‑planning experience.
