Design Engineer (Structural)

About the role

The Design Engineer will work closely with the sales team to translate client enquiries into detailed structural designs. You will be responsible for designing steel‑framed structures using the latest engineering software and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to capture scope details for new enquiries and confirm job specifications.
• Design steel‑framed structures for a variety of applications, selecting appropriate materials based on codes of practice.
• Perform structural analysis and design using AutoCAD, Prokon, Materseries and StaadPro.
• Prepare and review design spreadsheets and technical drawings for internal and external use.
• Liaise with detailers to ensure accurate production of construction drawings.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in structural design and related projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a team, and maintain high work ethics.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
