Director, Global HR Compliance & Operations

About the role

Vital Strategies, a global public‑health organization, is seeking a senior leader to direct its worldwide HR compliance and operations. The Director will ensure that HR practices across seven offices and thirteen Employer‑of‑Record locations are legally compliant, efficient and culturally responsive.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve inclusive HR policies, procedures and best practices globally.
• Lead the global compliance framework, monitoring legal requirements in each jurisdiction and advising local teams.
• Oversee employee services, including onboarding, payroll coordination with EOR partners, benefits administration and employee relations.
• Provide strategic guidance on global employment actions, contracts, and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with regional HR leads to ensure consistent, high‑quality HR delivery and operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and data‑driven decision‑making within the HR function.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading HR operations and compliance for multinational organizations.
• Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices across diverse jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to manage EOR arrangements and multi‑country HR service delivery.
• Strong collaborative and culturally agile leadership style.
