About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Operations Manager, the Driver provides reliable and safe transportation for senior UN Women officials, visitors and mission staff in Nairobi. The role demands high standards of discretion, integrity and knowledge of protocol and security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Drive office vehicles for the Regional Director, Deputy Director, high‑ranking officials and visitors, ensuring punctual and secure transport.
• Facilitate VIP missions, including airport pick‑ups, visa and customs assistance when required.
• Deliver and collect mail, documents and parcels to government offices, embassies, commercial establishments and UN offices.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs: odometer readings, fuel purchases, passenger details and trip purposes.
• Ensure vehicles comply with UN Women’s vehicle management, security and safety policies.
• Report any accidents, discrepancies or security concerns immediately to the supervisor.
• Provide basic administrative and clerical support to the Regional Office and back‑stop the Protocol and Administrative Assistant as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work with people from diverse national and cultural backgrounds.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability and punctuality.
• Excellent knowledge of local traffic regulations and UN security protocols.
