Driver – Safe Transport for Survivors

About the role

We are seeking a reliable driver to provide safe, timely transport for our staff and program participants, including survivors of trafficking, between shelters, service providers, courts and other designated locations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe and punctual transport for staff, survivors and program participants across Nairobi and surrounding areas.
• Apply defensive driving techniques and continuously assess road conditions to minimise risks.
• Uphold safeguarding principles and maintain strict confidentiality of passenger identities, case details and routes.
• Stay informed about high‑risk areas, adjust travel plans accordingly and advise passengers on safety precautions.
• Remain alert to potential security threats during journeys and take appropriate evasive actions when needed.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan driving licence with a clean record and a Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Demonstrated defensive driving experience or certification with a strong safety record.
• Extensive knowledge of Kenya’s road network and security dynamics.
• Experience working in humanitarian, protection or high‑risk environments is an advantage.
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and ethical standards when working with vulnerable populations.
• Highly disciplined, professional, punctual and able to communicate calmly under stress.
• Willingness to dress smart‑casual/professional and work flexible, irregular hours, including emergencies.
