About the role
Petanns Technical College is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Lecturer/Tutor to join its teaching team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves delivering high‑quality instruction in electrical and solar installation, supporting student learning, and contributing to curriculum development.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out research and prepare up‑to‑date learning materials.
- Prepare and distribute course outlines for allocated units within the first week of each semester.
- Teach assigned units as directed by the Head of Department and adapt content as needed.
- Evaluate student performance through formal assessments and informal feedback, ensuring timely and constructive comments.
- Ensure the subject course outline is fully covered within the stipulated time frame.
- Administer and supervise related practical lessons.
Required profile
- Diploma in Electrical and Solar Installation or Grade 1 NITA qualification in Electrical Installation.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a technical or vocational setting.
