Engineering Manager – Lead Cross‑Functional Delivery

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of product features for our new Kenya operation. You will translate business requirements into technical plans, coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure high‑quality, predictable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery across cross‑functional teams, turning product goals into actionable EPICs and user stories.
• Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers and Engineers to groom and prioritize the backlog.
• Plan and drive sprint execution, set timelines, milestones and surface dependencies early.
• Champion engineering processes, rituals and best practices to improve collaboration and accountability.
• Monitor team velocity and capacity, balance bandwidth against delivery commitments.
• Coordinate cross‑team dependencies and stakeholder alignment to remove bottlenecks.
• Stay hands‑on on critical initiatives: guide design decisions, enforce sound patterns and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure robust monitoring, alerting and observability for production systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams delivering complex products.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with product, design and QA stakeholders.
• Track record of maintaining high technical standards and delivery predictability.
