Field Engineer – Road Works

About the role

The Field Engineer – Road Works will supervise construction site activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes, and manage road inventory data for programme planning and cost estimation. The role also involves preparing site records, reviewing designs, and coordinating with the Resident Engineer and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site construction activities and ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
• Collect, compile and analyse road inventory data to support programme development and cost estimates.
• Conduct engineering surveys, develop geometric designs using AutoCAD or Civil CAD, and review hydrological and drainage designs.
• Monitor contractor performance, work programmes, schedules and quality of materials, and provide written and verbal instructions.
• Prepare contractual correspondence, work plans, meeting minutes and ensure timely submission of site records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building & Construction or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supervising civil works on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of contract management for civil engineering projects.
• Proven planning and organisational abilities with a track record of delivering projects.
