Field Officer – Community Training & Data Monitoring

About the role

The Field Officer will work directly with farming communities in Westlands, Kenya, delivering climate‑smart agricultural training, health and WASH education, and supporting digital adoption of FOPCO Africa’s platforms. This role combines field outreach, data collection, and stakeholder coordination to improve livelihoods and public health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Community Training: Conduct training sessions on climate‑resilient agriculture, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and public health practices.
• Data & Monitoring: Collect field data using KoboToolbox, track progress, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Digital Onboarding: Guide farmers in using FOPCO Africa’s digital platforms for market access and resource management.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with county officials, cooperatives, and other partners to facilitate market linkages and project support.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly field updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 3 years of experience in agricultural, community development, or public health projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with farmers, local authorities, and cooperative groups.
• Strong communication skills in English and local languages as needed.

Required skills

• KoboToolbox for data collection and monitoring.

What we offer

• Monthly contract remuneration between KES 30,000 and KES 45,000.
