Finance & Grants Intern

About the role

We are seeking a Finance & Grants Intern to support our finance team in building and maintaining financial models, tracking budgets, and identifying grant opportunities from international development organisations, impact investors, and government programmes. This role is ideal for a curious, mission‑driven individual eager to contribute to African healthcare solutions while gaining hands‑on experience in finance and grant writing.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify relevant grants, fellowships, and impact‑funding opportunities.
• Draft grant applications and impact reports.
• Maintain financial models and update monthly forecasts.
• Track expenses and produce monthly budget‑vs‑actual reports.
• Assist in preparing investor materials, including financial projections, cap tables, and data‑room documentation.
• Monitor grant databases such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome Trust, USAID, and African Development Bank.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Clear, persuasive writing skills.
• Attention to detail and comfort working with financial data.
