General Manager - Engineering & Water Solutions

About the role

The General Manager will lead the Engineering & Water Solutions and Industrial Trading divisions, reporting directly to the CEO. Responsible for the consolidated P&L, cash conversion, commercial growth and people performance, the role translates strategy into disciplined weekly execution.

Key responsibilities

• Translate board‑approved strategy into annual plans, budgets, quarterly priorities and weekly performance rhythms.
• Lead a unified management team, breaking down silos across sales, engineering, procurement, finance and service.
• Provide concise, decision‑ready reporting on performance, cash, risks and opportunities to the CEO and Board.
• Own revenue, gross profit, EBITDA, operating expenses and cash‑flow for the consolidated entity and each division.
• Chair monthly business reviews covering P&L, cash conversion, receivables, payables, inventory and project forecasts.
• Enforce credit limits, cost controls and segregation of duties, ensuring no undocumented commercial exceptions.
• Maintain wage bill within approved guardrails and ensure each role delivers measurable economic value.
• Govern the end‑to‑end project lifecycle from qualification, design and costing through procurement, assembly, QA, dispatch and installation.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience with full P&L responsibility.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive profitable growth.
• Excellent decision‑making, resource allocation and accountability enforcement.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams in engineering, sales, procurement and finance.
• Ability to represent the company with strategic customers, financiers, regulators and partners.
