Graduate Engineer Internship – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

Weetabix East Africa Ltd is seeking motivated engineering graduates to join its Graduate Engineering Internship Program. The program offers hands‑on experience in both mechanical and electrical disciplines, allowing interns to contribute to real projects while learning from seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers on field‑based projects across mechanical, electrical, and mechatronics domains.
• Support the design, testing, and implementation of engineering solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Participate in site visits, data collection, and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BEng/BSc) in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Graduates of 2025‑2026 or candidates graduating within the next six months.
• Second Class Upper Division or higher from an accredited university.
• Willingness to work onsite in Nairobi, Kenya.
• Strong interest in practical, field‑based engineering and career development.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Basic proficiency with engineering tools and equipment used in a manufacturing setting.
