Head Teacher

About the role

The Head Teacher will serve as the academic, pastoral and operational heart of our dynamic, community‑rooted school in Westlands. Reporting to the School Principal and working closely with the Parents Director and Front Office Manager, you will lead a team of teachers to deliver a rigorous, creative and supportive learning experience for every child.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire teaching staff, fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity and kindness.
• Drive curriculum excellence and ensure alignment with the school’s vision.
• Champion student wellbeing, integrating pastoral care with academic leadership.
• Provide data‑driven insights to senior management for strategic decision‑making.
• Collaborate with parents, front‑office, and communications teams to maintain strong community ties.
• Oversee day‑to‑day school operations, consolidating duties previously held by the Curriculum Director, Parents Director and Front Office Manager.

Required profile

• Senior‑level educational leader with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to holistic child development and innovative teaching practices.
• Strong ability to blend academic rigor with pastoral support.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, families and senior management.
