HR Manager – Nairobi

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead all human‑resources functions in its Nairobi office. You will oversee recruitment, policy management, employee relations, payroll, and compliance with Kenyan labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new hires.
• Review, formulate, and update HR policies to align with legal requirements and company values.
• Administer attendance tracking, leave management, and shift rosters using HRMS tools.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to assess HR needs and handle disciplinary matters.
• Establish grievance channels, mediate disputes, and maintain transparent communication with staff and unions.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, minimum wage regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Develop and deliver mandatory regulatory trainings and succession‑planning programs.
• Define KPIs, oversee performance appraisals, and generate weekly productivity reports.
• Prepare bi‑weekly payroll input, manage adjustments, and submit monthly payroll reports.
• Maintain occupational safety and health documentation in line with OSHA regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing comprehensive HR functions in Kenya.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, union relations, and OSHA compliance.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and department heads.
• Excellent communication and mediation skills.

Required skills

• HRMS (Human Resources Management System) proficiency.
