About the role
The Human Resource Officer will support the implementation of Persea Oils & Orchards' HR strategy, ensuring smooth delivery of core HR functions. This full‑time position focuses on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, and compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for permanent, contract and casual staff, including job ads, interviews and background checks.
- Provide first‑line HR support, manage employee grievances, and oversee disciplinary processes.
- Administer performance appraisal cycles, monitor improvement plans and prepare performance reports.
- Maintain accurate employee records, manage HRIS, and handle leave, attendance and contract administration.
- Prepare monthly payroll inputs, verify casual labour payroll, and reconcile payroll data before processing.
Required profile
- Mid‑level HR professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
