Human Resources Intern

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the Human Resources function at Aga Khan Hospitals in Nairobi. You will gain exposure to learning and development activities, employee engagement initiatives, and HR administration while working closely with the HR team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating learning and development activities, including logistics, scheduling, and participant communication.
• Maintain training records, attendance sheets, databases, and filing systems.
• Help prepare training materials, presentations, and learning resources.
• Observe and participate in organizational development projects to gain practical experience.
• Support employee engagement and wellness initiatives as assigned.
• Enter data, prepare reports, and document learning and development activities.
• Perform other administrative and learning tasks delegated by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Current Bachelor’s degree student or recent graduate in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• No prior work experience required; student leadership, volunteer work, projects, or previous internships are a plus.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow direction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Reliable, responsible, and professional conduct with a collaborative mindset.
