Recruitment Lead (Fintech/Payments/Nigerian Market)

About the role

Our client is a technology company solving payments problems for businesses in Africa. Their mission is to help businesses become profitable, envied, and loved. They provide a suite of products that enable businesses to accept payments online and offline, manage operations, and grow.

Key responsibilities

• Drive recruiting efforts across the organization to build a large talent pool of bar‑raising candidates.
• Lead the full‑cycle recruitment process for multiple departments and seniority levels.
• Partner with leadership and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
• Develop and implement talent‑acquisition strategies aligned with company goals.
• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through sourcing, networking, and employer‑branding initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment metrics, provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, platforms, and recruitment tools.
• Organise and attend job fairs, networking events, and employer‑branding activities.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in HR/recruitment at fast‑growing tech start‑ups or scale‑ups.
• Proven track record recruiting top talent, especially for niche or hard‑to‑find roles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong sourcing abilities using LinkedIn, job boards and social media.
• Comfortable navigating Applicant Tracking Systems (Teamtailor experience is a plus).
• Data‑driven approach to recruitment and decision‑making.
• Creative problem‑solver with a passion for building relationships.
