Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Westlands, Nairobi. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with core accounting tasks and exposure to statutory compliance in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate accounting data entry using QuickBooks.
• Record and maintain financial transactions and accounting records.
• Generate eSlips for VAT and Withholding VAT (WH VAT).
• Prepare and process statutory deductions.
• Maintain organized and up‑to‑date financial documentation.
• Assist with reconciliations and routine accounting activities.
• Support the senior accountant with day‑to‑day accounting tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Understanding of VAT, Withholding VAT and statutory deductions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good organizational and record‑keeping skills.
