Landscaping Manager

About the role

The Landscaping Manager will provide strategic, operational, financial and technical leadership for the full landscaping function across a large mixed‑use development, ensuring safe, attractive and sustainable green spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the landscaping function across all precincts, managing supervisors, internal teams, contractors and vendors.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, seasonal programmes, irrigation plans and asset lifecycle plans.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, CAPEX and OPEX, procurement and financial reporting.
• Set and monitor service levels, KPIs, work orders, inspections and audits to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
• Oversee workforce deployment, equipment use and resource allocation to meet operational priorities.
• Coordinate with urban planning and supervisors to translate design concepts into implementation plans.
• Ensure HSE compliance through SOPs, risk registers, incident investigations and sustainable practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, Agriculture or related field; advanced qualifications desirable.
• 10‑12 years progressive experience in large‑scale landscaping, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage large workforces, contractors, budgets and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong technical knowledge of soft and hard landscaping, irrigation, tree care, pest control and sustainable public‑realm upkeep.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS and other landscape design software.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Competence in MS Project or similar work‑management tools and reporting systems.
