Landscaping Manager

About the role

The Landscaping Manager will provide strategic, operational, financial and technical leadership for the full landscaping function across a large mixed‑use development. Reporting to senior management, the role oversees multiple supervisors, internal teams, contractors and specialist vendors while ensuring safe, attractive and sustainable landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the landscaping function across all precincts, managing supervisors, internal teams, contractors and vendors.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, seasonal programmes, irrigation plans and asset lifecycle plans.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, CAPEX and OPEX, procurement plans and financial reporting.
• Set and monitor service levels, KPIs, SLAs, work orders, inspections, audits and reporting dashboards.
• Plan workforce deployment, equipment use, material availability and resource allocation.
• Oversee contractor and vendor performance, tender evaluations, contract administration and invoice verification.
• Collaborate with urban planning and supervisors to translate design concepts into implementation plans.
• Ensure HSE compliance through SOPs, risk registers, incident investigations and sustainable practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, Agriculture or related field.
• 10‑12 years of progressive experience in large‑scale landscaping, estate, public realm or parks management.
• Proven experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost optimisation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with MS Project or similar work‑management tools.
• Ability to use reporting and dashboard tools for performance monitoring.
