Lead Senior IT Trainer – Cloud & Cybersecurity

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Senior IT Trainer to design and deliver cutting‑edge training programs for our corporate clients. The role focuses on cloud migration, hosted telephony services, and cybersecurity awareness, ensuring clients stay compliant with Kenya's Data Protection Act.

Key responsibilities

• Design, curate, and scale a strategic training curriculum aligned with product updates and cloud initiatives.
• Facilitate expert‑level virtual and in‑person workshops on cybersecurity, cloud services, and compliance.
• Conduct detailed training needs analyses and skills‑gap assessments for complex client environments.
• Oversee internal and client‑facing Learning Management Systems, keeping modules modern, gamified, and metric‑driven.
• Lead technical upskilling and certification roadmaps for engineering and support teams.
• Mentor junior IT trainers, reviewing instructional design materials and providing performance feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software training, IT consulting, or an MSP environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), CompTIA CTT+, CEH, CCNA, or AWS/Azure credentials.

Required skills

• Microsoft technologies and certification (MCT).
• CompTIA CTT+.
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or equivalent cybersecurity credentials.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Learning Management System (LMS) administration and content development.
