About the role
We are seeking a motivated Liberal Studies Trainer to join the Liberal Studies Department at Shamberere Technical Training Institute. The trainer will deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction, develop learning resources, and support trainee development in a dynamic educational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver training in assigned Liberal Studies subjects following the approved curriculum.
- Prepare teaching and learning materials, lesson plans, and learning activities.
- Design, administer, and mark assessments to evaluate trainee progress.
- Conduct research under the supervision of a senior trainer.
- Supervise trainee projects, practical work, and on‑the‑job attachments.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by department leadership.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Formal training in pedagogy and registration with TVETA.
- Minimum of one year of teaching or training experience.
- Membership in a relevant professional body where applicable.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
