Loan Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Loan Officer to join BIMAS Kenya Ltd in Westlands, Nairobi. The successful candidate will drive sustainable growth of our loan portfolio by providing excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with our credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand a healthy credit portfolio through prudent loan administration and management.
• Communicate and sell banking products and services to an active client base, meeting branch performance targets.
• Prepare and present timely, accurate reports to support decision‑making and monitor branch performance.
• Maintain systematic records and ensure proper filing for easy retrieval.
• Educate clients on loan terms, provide financial advice, and nurture strong relationships.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Age 25 years or older.
• Diploma in Co‑operative Management or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum KCSE grade C plain.
• At least two years of relevant experience in loan administration or banking.
• Willingness to ride a motorbike; a valid riding licence is an advantage.
• Valid certificate of good conduct (mandatory).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
