Long-Haul Driver

About the role

Victory Farms is seeking an experienced Long-Haul Driver to transport fresh fish, inputs and other goods between its logistics centres across Kenya. The role involves safe, timely delivery while maintaining cold‑chain integrity and adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Transport perishable and non‑perishable products between company sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any faults or incidents.
• Maintain cold‑chain conditions for perishable cargo throughout the journey.
• Plan and adjust routes using navigation tools to avoid traffic, road closures or delays.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
• Keep vehicles fueled, clean and operational, and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Communicate trip progress, delays or issues to logistics and dispatch teams.
• Practice defensive driving and support emergency response procedures when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE certificate; diploma or higher is an advantage.
• Valid Class CE driving licence.
• At least 3 years of proven long‑haul or commercial driving experience.
• Clean driving record and strong knowledge of Kenyan road networks and regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Class CE Driving Licence.
• Proficiency with navigation applications such as Google Maps.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle issues.
