Fuel Distribution System Driver/Operator (Tier 4)

About the role

The Fuel Distribution System Driver/Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining aviation, diesel, and mogas fuels at a fuel farm, ensuring accurate fuel calculations, and supporting logistical operations. The role involves operating fuel trucks to deliver fuel to forward refueling points and retail locations while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain fuel levels, temperature, water content, and gravity/flashpoint of aviation, diesel, and mogas fuels.
• Perform usage calculations, initiate service orders, and determine required fuel quantities for tank filling.
• Prepare receiving and shipping documentation for routine logistical functions.
• Operate fuel trucks to transport fuel to Forward Arial Refueling Points (FARP) and retail fuel points.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel terminal systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (or comparable education/experience).
• 1–3 years of experience monitoring and maintaining fuel systems.
• Authorization to work in the job location.
• May supervise employees or subcontractor personnel as directed.

Required skills

• Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) or equivalent.
• Ability to operate fuel trucks for distribution to FARP and retail points.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on fuel terminal systems.
