Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator will be based on‑site in Nairobi County and will oversee daily maintenance activities for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, drainage and fire‑fighting systems, ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor preventive maintenance programmes for all mechanical and fire‑fighting assets.
• Coordinate work orders, track asset performance and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Supervise and allocate tasks to maintenance teams, ensuring timely completion of repairs and emergency requests.
• Manage spare‑part inventories and liaise with project and operations staff to minimise equipment downtime.
• Enforce safety procedures, support regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related technical field (preferred).
• Proven experience in maintenance coordination within HVAC, plumbing or industrial facilities, preferably in commercial or industrial environments.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and capacity to prioritize multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
