Maintenance Manager – Production Equipment & Facility

About the role

Bennett Heat Treating & Brazing Co., Inc. seeks an experienced, self‑directed Maintenance Manager to own all production‑equipment and facility‑maintenance activities. This individual‑contributor role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical failures on equipment operating up to 480V AC and DC systems, including motors, controls, relays and heating elements.
• Maintain mechanical systems such as water pumps, vacuum pumps, furnace elements, fans, hydraulics, and related components.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on vacuum furnaces, investigating leaks, heating issues and electrical faults.
• Develop and execute a preventive‑maintenance program, schedule tasks, track completion, and apply predictive methods where practical.
• Respond promptly to production‑equipment failures, prioritize repairs, communicate downtime, and ensure safe testing after repairs.
• Manage facility‑wide maintenance including building systems, utilities, HVAC, plumbing and coordinate qualified vendors.
• Maintain organized MRO inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate parts procurement.
• Support quality and safety initiatives, maintain accurate maintenance records, and assist with audits and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and improve existing maintenance processes.
• Experience with 480V AC, DC systems, pumps, vacuum furnaces and hydraulic equipment.
• Commitment to safety, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory compliance.
