Marketing Assistant

About the role

Vivo Fashion Group is hiring a full-time, on-site Marketing Assistant in Nairobi, reporting directly to the Marketing Manager. The role strengthens the brand's online presence, drives customer engagement and supports integrated marketing campaigns across platforms. It is a hands-on, collaborative position combining content creation, campaign execution and community management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day social media activity on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube and Twitter, creating and scheduling content aligned with the brand voice.
• Use tools such as Canva, StoryMaker, Unfold and Mojo to make graphics and stories, and build content calendars with the content, ecommerce and retail teams.
• Help implement short- and long-term social media strategies, set content pillars and monitor trends, engagement and competitors.
• Run community engagement campaigns, promote user-generated content, and support launches of new collections, products and stores with social media, BTL and ATL campaigns.
• Support community newsletters and blogs, encourage discussion around brand content, and organize virtual events, live streams and interactive sessions.
• Work with brand ambassadors, influencers and partners, and optimize posts for search engines through keyword research and trending hashtags.
• Analyze and report regularly on social media metrics to guide continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing or management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, creativity, analytical and project management skills, attention to detail and teamwork.

Required skills

• Understanding of major social media platforms and their audiences.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva, StoryMaker, Unfold and Mojo.
