Medical Officer

About the role

The Hospital is looking for a qualified Medical Officer to join its multidisciplinary team in Westlands, Nairobi. This full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality clinical care to a diverse patient population in a busy tertiary setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, stabilise and treat patients presenting with minor ailments and emergencies.
• Assess urgency and severity through history taking, examination and investigations.
• Admit, discharge and refer patients to specialists as appropriate.
• Order and coordinate diagnostic, therapeutic and support services.
• Perform clinical and minor procedures, including cannulation and catheterisation.
• Participate in hospital rounds, ambulance services and outreach programmes.
• Prepare weekly work plans, monitor morbidity‑mortality trends and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Engage in continuous medical education and other duties as required.

Required profile

• MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery).
• Registered with KMPDC and hold a valid practising licence.
• Minimum two years experience as a Medical Officer, preferably in a busy hospital.
• BLS, ACLS and ATLS training.
• Computer proficiency.
