MEP Draftsman

About the role

Implex Engineering Company Ltd is looking for a part‑time MEP Draftsman to create accurate shop, coordination and as‑built drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire‑fighting systems. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and executed on site.

Key responsibilities

• Produce clear shop drawings, coordination drawings and as‑built plans for all MEP disciplines.
• Cross‑check drawings against architectural and structural layouts to avoid clashes.
• Update technical blueprints based on feedback, red‑line marks and design revisions.
• Calculate material quantities and assist with basic equipment schedules or quantity take‑offs.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a specialised CAD design certificate.
• Generally 1‑2 years of practical drafting experience in construction or engineering projects.
• Good understanding of MEP building services, installation details and local safety codes.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in BRICSCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience with AutoCAD MEP.
• Familiarity with Revit.
