Mid Level Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Mid Level Android Developer to design, build, and maintain native Android applications. You will work closely with product owners, project managers, and external vendors to deliver high‑quality mobile features while staying current with evolving technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop full‑stack native Android apps, including system analysis, test‑driven development, unit testing, test automation, code reviews, and maintenance.
• Design and ship complex new mobile features and applications.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical product owners, and vendor teams to define solutions and participate in long‑term product planning.
• Ensure delivery meets quality, cost, and client expectations.
• Stay up‑to‑date with new mobile standards, protocols, and tools.
• Support applications according to Service Level Agreements, troubleshooting production and non‑production issues.
• Work with external teams to design API specifications and propose process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on Android.
• Proven ability to build Android apps from scratch and refactor existing codebases.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• Detail‑oriented, logical, and able to prioritize workload effectively.

Required skills

• Android SDK and multiple Android platform versions.
• Android UI design principles, custom views, and layout handling for various screen sizes.
• RESTful API integration.
• Offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Use of device sensors such as gyroscope and accelerometer.
• Familiarity with open‑source Android libraries.
• Cloud messaging APIs and push notification implementation.
• Git version control (minimum 4 years hands‑on experience).
• Continuous integration pipelines.
