Software Developer Internship – Backend & Frontend

About the role

We are seeking motivated Software Developer Interns to join our engineering team in Nairobi. The role offers hands‑on experience building and maintaining both backend and frontend applications while gaining exposure to modern production workflows, testing, and deployment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Python, Django, and React.
• Design, implement and consume RESTful APIs with Django REST Framework.
• Collaborate on code using Git, perform code reviews and follow version‑control best practices.
• Solve algorithmic challenges and write clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Assist in containerising applications and support deployment pipelines.

Required profile

• KCSE grade B+ or equivalent.
• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with solid foundations in data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and high integrity.
